Chinese Gardens Visit

We had a fantastic day out on Friday! Thanks heaps to the parents that helped with transport & supervision!

Not long till camp now, I do hope the weather warms up! How are you all feeling about sleeping in tents? It should be a fantastic few days! Don't forget you need two drink bottles!

Guten Tag

Guess what language we are starting tomorrow? A teacher from Otago Boys is coming in for five sessions to teach us German! How exciting is that? First person to tell me the three colours of the German Flag wins!

How to add a comment


How to post a comment a lot of you are asking....so here is how to do it... go to "add a comment" then when it asks you what "profile" you would like to publish on click on "google" and then you need to add your email address & it will send you a 'verification code' to your email address that you need to activate....so you can comment on the blog... or I have just activated the "anonymous" button which mean you do not need to have an email address...but please add your name to your comments if you post anonymously!

Week 3

Camp is only 16 sleeps away! Two forms are going home tonight that need to be signed and returned, I will endeavor to load them onto the blog site so you can view them directly from here and/or download them should yours go awol!

We are heading to the Otago Settlers Museum next Friday - 26th February and we need parents to help with transport as well as to supervise on the day! Please ask your folks if they are able to do this! There will be a notice going home this week also, keep an eye out for it!

Is anyone going to the rugby this Friday night? The first home game for the Highlanders!

A reminder that homework is given out tonight (Monday) and is due back on Friday!

Week 2


In Room 7 our routines are up and running, our numeracy & literacy groups will kick in next week after plenty of testing & observations. If you would like to know at any time about your child's progress please don't hesitate to get in touch!

HEAPS of sporting & cultural activities have been on offer this week for the kids to sign up for, there has been; touch, volleyball, hiphop, Kapahaka, ripper rugby, recorder....and I think that is all...oh and Robotics, waterpolo and RTTV .....no doubt there will be more on offer shortly..keep an eyeout for choir and heaps of others!
I would LOVE to see Room 7 get stuck into these really fabulous extras that we offer!

I hope I get to meet the Room 7 community tomorrow night at Meet the teacher evening starting in the hall at 7pm followed by a chat in Room 7 after wards.

Our swimming sessions started at Moana Pool this week, thanks heaps to the two mums (Matthew's and Nic's) who enjoyed the 'stroll' down to the pool supervising our swimmers! I have initial assessments from Moana Pool if you would like to know how your child was assessed by Swimsation!

DAY ONE!


What a HOT day! So great to start the year off with the sun shining into Room 7!

My impressions of my class this year is that you are motivated, polite, well behaved, eager and a keen bunch of kids! it is so fabulous that I can honestly say this about my 2010 class! I know it will stay this way too!

I hope you all had a fabulous day and are excited as I am about 2010!
